“We can work together for a better world with men and women of goodwill, those who radiate the intrinsic goodness of humankind.”

Wangari Maathai, Kenyan environmentalist and the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize

We currently have two vacancies on the ACCES Board of Directors, created by changes in the life circumstances of long-serving board members. Where will we find individuals who are committed to the ACCES mission of alleviating poverty through education and who can contribute time and expertise to this cause? The simple answer is that the most likely place is among our donors, and their network of like-minded friends and associates, who have already made a commitment to help ACCES provide post- secondary scholarships to students from the Kakamega region, one of the poorest areas in Kenya.

All members of the ACCES Society Board are volunteers. We have a diverse group of individuals with experience in various sectors – education, business, non-profit and civic administration, and finance. It would be ideal to have a director with marketing, social media and/or fundraising experience, as we are seeking to grow our group of donors for the purpose of increasing the number of scholarships granted annually. A legal background would also be helpful. However, these are not requirements. If you are interested, please fill out the form below and tell me about yourself. Or, if you know of a like-minded person who might be a good fit, please share this message.
